Dig and Ride

Dig, Build and Ride – Update from the Flying V

It’s been a busy first couple of months trying to find time to dig and ride at the bike camp. Torrential rain has played havoc on our building efforts, and we’ve had to squeeze in work done when we can.

No dig, no ride… that’s been the montra around bike trails since the beginning. It seems there’s always lots of people that want to ride, but never too many when it comes time to dig and build the jumps and trails.

Nonetheless, we’re moving forward with our efforts to get some trails open before the Fall. When it hasn’t been raining, the sun has been brutal causing erosion and weeds galore, but, that’s part of the process.

We’ve also had some injuries from crashes and we’re giving time to heal. In between the dowtime and digging I have found some time to ride.

That’s the update, checkout these videos to see our progress.

We’ve still got a long way to go and more trails to build. I’ll continue to post and update you on our progress. If you’d like to get involved, we could use your support. Take our survey and tell us what you’d like to see at the camp.
